Art Contest
Winners
Chosen blindly by a panel of artist and aesthete judges, these three pieces by local artists won our first held art contest. Look for them in the LOCAL Magazine Summer 2022 issue!
Floyd McGovern
This “Smith Opera House” watercolor excited the judges through its professional quality, technique and proficient use of perspective.
Owen Feider-Sullivan
This piece, "Utility Pole," showed movement, clarity and contrast, all of which pulled the judges in.

The “Lost Cart” illustration had a distinctive use of technique, purposeful use of color and ability to tell a story with character.
